The Dr. Aisha's Minority Women in Science Foundation (MWSF) was founded in May of 2006. Inspired by the Dr. Terry's passion for mentorship and background in the medical sciences, the MWSF strives to empower the dreams of minority women with interests in science careers by providing personalized mentorship and resources. This non-profit organization is based out of Washington, DC.
BIOGRAPHY - Dr. TerryBorn and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Terry graduated with honors from Duke University with a bachelor of science degree in Biology, and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. In 1999, she began her medical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine on a 4-year full scholarship. While in Chapel Hill, she reaped the benefits of mentorship from great icons in the field of emergency medicine, which led to her completing key research in neurological emergencies as a tender, yet eager medical student.
